And you're welcome. Because who set them up on a blind date in February, 1994? This girl!
Nate and I were both attending Reinhardt College at the time. One day while we were trying to stay awake in Math 102, Nate said something like, "Hey, do you have a sister who looks like you but doesn't have your personality?"
I tend to have that affect on people.
Anyway, as luck would have it, I knew just the girl... my sister, Delane, who had recently broken up with her boyfriend. Maybe a fun double-date is just what the doctor ordered!
Little did I know that this blind date would become a seven year courtship and a ten year marriage - producing two precious children. I would have put more money on William Hung winning American Idol in 2003.
To commemorate ten years of marriage, I took some photos of them at the park where Nate proposed, the church where they were married, and the theater where they had their reception.
It was nice to take a stroll down memory lane with them... or in this case, a stroll down East Main Street.
Congratulations, Delane and Nate! Happy Anniversary!
