This is a sponsored post, I am a Kmart Layaway blogger, though all opinions are my own.
I've been working since I was 16-years old. And after all of these years, I can still say that I like spending money better than I like making it. Next to doughnut eating, shopping is my greatest talent!
So imagine my excitement when Kmart wanted to join forces with me to talk about shopping. Can you say awesome?!
Christmas will be here before we know it, and if you're kids are anything like mine, they started making their Christmas lists on December 26th last year.
I can remember when my children were really little and they'd ask for things like "stickers", "coloring books", "cars", and "baby dolls". Twenty-bucks and we could have called it Christmas. But now, their lists include things like mountain bikes, television sets, Wii games, and computers. And those things are just a tad more expensive than stickers and coloring books.
They also want the hottest and hardest-to-find holiday gifts, which makes procrastinating my holiday shopping virtually impossible. You know, unless I want to see some disappointed little faces on Christmas morning.
I learned this lesson the hard way a couple of years back when Bailey asked for a pink iDog music player. Thinking that I had plenty of time, I waited until the week of Christmas to buy it, only to discover that this thing was sold out everywhere, like, WORLD WIDE. It would have been easier to have found a living, breathing, extinct Tyrannosaurus Rex to put in her stocking instead.
What would have prevented this Christmas morning disaster? free layaway.
And who has a better layaway program than Kmart? Nobody! Not Walmart, not Best Buy, not Toys R Us. Not even close.
How do you use Kmart's layaway program, you say? Well, I'm glad you asked!
First is the best part: pick out what you want to buy. You can do this online or at any Kmart store location. Next, you pay your downpayment. Then, you make payments every two weeks, either online or at any Kmart store register. And finally, when you make your last payment, you get the item. It's that simple.
And Christmas layaway is already in full-swing at Kmart, so I suggest that you pick out those Christmas presents now. Unless, of course, you're cool with finding a Tyrannosaurus Rex again this year.
And even better? Use the Kmart layaway program and you are entered to win Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! That's right, people. They are giving you prizes for making your children happy and saving money at the same time. Now I call that a win-win-win.
I'm heading over to Kmart's website right now to do a little Christmas shopping. Here are just a few of the items that I'll be putting on layaway...
And while I'm there, I'll be entering the Big Layaway Giveaway.
What? You are, too? Yay! See you there.
