Should Have Gone With O89W

Why is it so much more fun to gain weight than it is to lose it? And why does it take half the time to "find" every pound that you worked so hard to lose? This really needs to change. Please write your Congressman.
Brian and I purchased P90X shortly after Drew was born. I can honestly say that it's the best in-home workout that you can do. It has everything: cardio, weight training, calisthenics, plymetrics, strength and endurance training - all the while, making working out almost fun. Plus, Tony Horton is super cheesy, which definitely adds to the entertainment value. It's the best $120 that you can spend.

The problem, though, is actually following through with the workout program. In a society where we are all so spoiled to immediate gratification, have we forgotten how to actually work to achieve results? I mean, waiting more than 3 minutes for a cup of joe at Starbucks or having a dead iPhone battery so I can't access my Facebook page while waiting for it can be enough to take my day from peachy to completely unacceptable.

As easy as it would be to blame my failures on societal pressures, at the end of the day, I'm still the one lifting the fork to my mouth. So today, I am recommitting myself to losing these last few pounds. And maybe I'll actually look decent just in time for summer to be over.

Goodbye, Dairy Queen. Hellooooo, p90X. "Bring It".
