Happy Valentine's Day! I love this holiday because this holiday is all about love.
I know this might come as a total shock to you, but I tend to be a little over the top with certain things. Birthday parties, decorating, embarrassing myself in public places, the list goes on and on.
But on Valentine's Day, I don't like to be over the top. I like to keep it simple, special and some third "s" word that I can't think of right now... uhmm, spectacular? no. serendipitous? sometimes. secretive? hey, I'm a married woman! sanguine? only when I spill the wine. hmmm, sweet? yeah, perfect.
I don't spend more than twenty-bucks on gifts and I make homemade cards for Brian, Bailey and Drew (not the free printables from Pinterest that make somebody else's words look perfect, but ones that I make with my really poor penmanship). I rub little kids' backs and read them extra long books. Valentine's Day is all about the little things for me.
